Facial lymphatic drainageSunnyvale + San Ramon, CA

Mechanical drainage for the face and neck using ICOONE®. No needles. No downtime.

What it does

What facial lymphatic drainage does.

The face holds fluid in the same way the legs do, only the volumes are smaller and the effect is more visible. Interstitial fluid pools in the under-eye hollow, along the jaw, and under the chin, and it is most obvious in the first hours after waking. Facial lymphatic drainage mobilizes that fluid along the cervical chain and back into circulation, which is why morning puffiness is usually the first thing to change.

The lymphatic vessels of the face sit within a continuous connective tissue network. When that network is dense or static, drainage slows. Working the tissue mechanically restores movement through the network rather than simply pushing fluid across the surface of the skin. The same principle governs the body work described on our lymphatic drainage page.

The device

How ICOONE® delivers it.

ICOONE uses Roboderm® multi-microalveolar stimulation: hundreds of micro-cups lifting and releasing the tissue thousands of times per minute, with a facial handpiece calibrated for thinner skin. Unlike manual work, the device engages both sides of the tissue fold at once and holds an identical rate and pressure for the length of the session.

Depth of reach is the other difference. Hands work the surface of the dermis. Roboderm® microstimulation reaches the subcutaneous layer where the lymphatic collectors and the connective tissue septae sit, which is where the fluid is actually held. The published mechanism is set out on the ICOONE research page.

What to expect

What you will notice.

Puffiness settles first, usually the same day and most visibly around the eyes and along the jaw. Definition follows: as fluid clears from under the chin and the jaw line, the outline of the lower face reads sharper. Skin tone changes last and most gradually, as circulation through the tissue improves session over session.

Results build per session rather than arriving at once. Most clients run a short course, then maintain. Individual results vary. Session pricing is visible when you book. If jaw line and under-chin definition are the main goal, see face contouring →.

Questions

Common questions.

What is facial lymphatic drainage?

Facial lymphatic drainage is the mechanical mobilization of interstitial fluid out of the face and neck and back into circulation along the cervical chain. It targets the fluid that collects under the eyes, along the jaw, and under the chin, which is why morning puffiness is usually the first thing to change.

How is this different from a facial lymphatic drainage massage?

A facial lymphatic drainage massage applies pressure by hand at the surface of the skin. ICOONE® applies Roboderm® microstimulation through hundreds of micro-cups, engaging both sides of the tissue fold thousands of times per minute at a consistent rate and depth a hand cannot reproduce, and reaching the subcutaneous layer where the lymphatic collectors sit.

How many sessions does it take to see results?

Most clients see reduced puffiness the same day as the first session. Definition along the jaw and improvement in skin tone build session over session, typically becoming clear from session four to six. Individual results vary.

Can I have facial lymphatic drainage and body treatment in the same session?

Yes. Face work is available as a standalone session or added to a body session. A combined appointment usually runs two hours or more depending on the areas treated.

Is facial lymphatic drainage safe for all skin types?

The treatment is non-invasive, uses no heat and no needles, and is suitable across skin types and tones. Parameters are set at the tissue assessment. If you are pregnant, have a health condition, or are recovering from surgery, consult your physician before booking.
